Why Manual Editing Matters
While FauxRun generates excellent cover letters, the final polish makes the difference. Adding personal touches and company-specific details shows genuine interest and effort.
Entering Edit Mode
After generating a cover letter, click the Edit button or press Ctrl+E to enter edit mode. This allows you to modify the content while keeping the overall structure intact.
What to Edit
1. Add Company-Specific Details
- Include the company name throughout (not just in opening)
- Mention specific projects or initiatives they’re known for
- Reference the company values and how they align with yours
- Show you’ve researched their recent news or achievements
2. Personalize Your Story
- Add a unique insight or experience
- Include a specific example or anecdote
- Show why you’re passionate about this particular role
- Connect your experience directly to their needs
3. Fine-tune Language
- Adjust tone if needed to match company culture
- Break up long paragraphs for readability
